Working with Cuningham, Morgan partnered with the San Carlos Apache Healthcare Corporation to design this long-term care and skilled nursing facility serving the San Carlos Apache Tribe.
The project was shaped through extensive listening — with tribal members, caregivers, and leadership — ensuring the design reflects the values of family, community, and respect for elders. The result is a facility that feels grounded in culture while supporting a high standard of care.
Organized as a series of distinct neighborhoods, the building balances privacy with connection. Shared spaces and outdoor courtyards allow residents and families to gather in ways that feel natural and culturally appropriate, while private rooms provide dignity and quiet.
More than a healthcare facility, it is a place that allows people to remain connected — to each other, to tradition, and to the land.
